Q. What are the courses available for studies in the UK?

A. A comprehensive list of courses would be available in the University Prospectus and also on the University Website. 100's of Universities, Institutes and Colleges have almost all the courses in total from undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, research degrees (BPhil, MPhil, PhD) to be offered to International students.

Q. When does the study period start in the UK?

A. Most of the Universities in the UK have two intakes September/ October and the second in Jan./ Feb.

A. No, it’s a wrong notion. The Universities operate for a completely new batch of students for both the intakes and the quality of education is absolutely not affected. Infact the Jan / Feb intake could be the best choice for the students who under any circumstances were not able to join the University in September.

Q. Can I work during my course in the UK?

A. You are allowed to work for 20 hours part-time per week during your full time course. However, during vacations you can work full-time. Holiday period is of around 3 months. It is however suggested to pay greater attention to studies. Moreover it is not difficult to get a part-time job. If you are open to all kinds of legitimate work, securing a part-time job could be very easy too.

Q. Is IELTS / TOEFL necessary to get admission and does the student have to take both IELTS / TOEFL?

A. IELTS or TOEFL examination is not necessary for all the Universities but it is definitely and important supporter document for your application form. Proficiency in English Language is a must in order to study in any country, as the medium of instruction will be English. Hence these exams are accepted proofs of proficiency in English. Students have to give either IELTS / TOEFL depending upon the requirements.

A. It differs for different Universities / Colleges. However, an approximate time period would be 4-6 weeks. An application to be sent well in advance to the semester start date is advisable.
