College Admissions amid COVID-19 in Europe and USA

COVID-19 Pandemic has disrupted education across the globe and affected plans of students planning to study abroad.

Countries continue to remain in lockdown making it impossible to plan an appointment for a student visa. The extent of consequences is not yet clear as we continue to see developments and changes in plans on a weekly basis by the educational institutes.
For the spring and summer semesters, colleges have gone online and have cancelled all “in person” classes, lectures and student activities. Exams and thesis defence may be postponed or held in different formats. Admissions for the Autumn/Fall semester is taking longer as Admissions Committee members work remotely. Many students are unable to meet eligibility criteria and have an incomplete application.
