Masters programs in Malaysia are generally between 1 and 2 years in duration with multiple options for 1 year. Moreover, Malaysia provides excellent career opportunities in terms of global exposure.
Intakes for Master’s in Malaysia:
On a general note there are three intakes in Malaysia: January, March, September. September is their biggest intake. Indian students can also apply for this term since final marks of most students arrive around June. You can apply early and get conditional admission letter and then update your university in Malaysia with the final examination score you receive.

The local currency in Malaysia is Ringgit. 1 RM = Rs 16 approx.:
The courses in Malaysia offered by various intuitions are quite affordable. The Cost of Tuition fees ranges from MUR 53,500 to MUR 5,52,000 per year approx. So if we look it at from our point of view, an Indian student may land up paying Rs. 1,10,000 to Rs. 11,00,000 which is a lot cheaper that other foreign destinations.
Work Experience for Master’s in Malaysia:
Work experience after your graduation is NOT required to study MS in Malaysia. You can directly apply while you are studying in the final of your Bachelors and join a University in Malaysia in the same year as you finish your Bachelors. Your results come out in June and you will be good to join your Masters in Malaysia in September.
GRE / GMAT Requirement for Master’s in Malaysia:

English Language Requirement for Master’s in Malaysia:
One must have a recognized English language qualification such as IELTS or TOEFL. The minimum score that is accepted for entry is IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT80. The test could be done within one month from the date you decide to take the test i.e. preparing for the test, registering for the test, to appearing for it. Documents required for admission to study Master’s in Malaysia:
Attested copies of all your certificates X, XII & Graduate Degree (if applicable), Mark Sheets including Backlogs (Re-sits). Final year or final semester marksheet can be submitted later if you are currently studying in the final year of your Bachelors.
Transcript from your degree college may be required by some universities. A transcript is a consolidated marksheet available from your College.
English Test Score:
Evidence of English Language proficiency e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, etc. (if applicable). If you have not taken the test yet, you can still make an application. We can update your scores later to the University as and when you receive them.
GMAT / GRE:
GRE is NOT required to study in Malaysia. However, if you do have a score, then it always improves your admission chances. Submit standardised tests score e.g. GMAT, GRE (if applicable). Only some MBA programmes may need GMAT. Submit this score report too
Recommendation Letters (LORs):
Academic References as required by the Institute (Min. 2). These could be from your employer / teacher from school / college. These must be on the letter headed paper of your company or Institution.
Two Passport sized photographs.
Statement of Purpose (SOP):
An SOP is a 1.5 to 2 pages essay where you show your interest about: your previous academic journey, why a specific University, why Masters in Malaysia, your career goals, how will the course help you achieve your goals, etc. This statement could be submitted to us as a Word file and we will review and edit it for you.
Preferably one page that highlights your work experience, educational qualifications, interests, additionally courses or activities you have done. Submit this to us in a Word format.
