Birkbeck was ranked 13th in The Guardian’s 2001 Research Assessment Exercise and 26th in Times Higher Education’s equivalent table.

Birkbeck University  submissions from Earth Sciences, Psychology, History, Classics and Archaeology and History of Art, Film and Visual Media were rated in the top five nationally.

According to Times Higher Education World University Rankings in 2012–13, Birkbeck is ranked 200th in the world and 31st in the United Kingdom. In the QS ranking Birkbeck climbed up two places to 109th for Arts and Humanities.

The 2010 QS World University Rankings placed Birkbeck at 93rd in the world for Arts and Humanities. In the same year the Times Higher Education World University Rankings placed Birkbeck 152nd overall.

 

Entry Requirements to Study at Birkbeck University of London UK

 General entry requirements (exact requirements may vary from course to course)

Postgraduate Courses: At least 60 % in Bachelors or CGPA of 6.5 or higher (on a scale of 10). IELTS: Overall 6.5 with no less than 6 in each subtest (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)

Undergraduate Courses (after 12th): Completion of All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) or Indian School Certificate (CISCE) with an average of 70 % Higher Secondary Certificate (State Board) with an average of 75 %. IELTS: Overall 6.5 with no less than 6 in each subtest (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)

MBA/Executive MBA program: Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant work experience with recognized degree. IELTS: 7 with no less than 6.5 in each component (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)

The scholarship will cover tuition fees for one year of study/first year of study, at either the undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Deadline for Undergraduate Courses after 12th

The normal closing date to receive applications for full-time undergraduate courses is 15th January for September intake. If possible, try to ensure that your application reaches the university by this date. The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service also known as UCAS send all applications it receives after 15 January (until 30 June) but the university can’t guarantee they will give the same level of consideration or offer as those that arrive by 15 January.

Deadline for Postgraduate Courses
