General entry requirements (exact requirements may vary from course to course)

Postgraduate Courses: At least 55% with 3 or 4 years of Bachelors  Degree from a recognized or top institution. IELTS: 6 with no less than 5.5 in each section(or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)

Undergraduate Courses (after 12th): Completion of All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) or Indian School Certificate (CISCE) or % Higher Secondary Certificate (State Board) with a minimum average of 55- 65% %. IELTS: 6 with no less than 5.5 in each section(or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)

MBA/Executive MBA program: At least 55% with 3 or 4 years of Bachelors  Degree from a recognized or top institution. IELTS: 6 with no less than 5.5 in each section(or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)

Scholarships for Indian/International students

1.  £2,000 scholarships available for Indian students

To be eligible for a scholarship for an undergraduate programme, you’ll need to have studied the 12th Standard and attained the following grade:

  • 60% overall* – £1,000
  • 65% overall* – £1,500
  • 70% overall* – £2,000

To be eligible for a scholarship for a postgraduate programme, you’ll need to have gained the following at a university in India:

5 star universities –

  • 45% – 49% £500
  • 50% – 54% £1,000
  • 55% – 59% £1,500
  • 60% + £2,000

 

Other universities –

  • 48% – 54% £500
  • 55% – 59% £1,000
  • 60% – 69% £1,500
  • 70% + £2,000

Your scholarship offer will be made when we make you a course offer. Note – Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment courses have higher requirements.

2. GREAT Scholarships – India

Exclusively for students from India, we are very pleased to offer the following GREAT scholarships in partnership with the British Council for our upcoming September 2018 intake:

Undergraduate:

5 students will each be awarded their full tuition fee for the first year of an undergraduate course up to a maximum of £12,000. Your course can be from any of the following faculties; Business, Law & Social Sciences (BLSS), Art, Design & Media (ADM), Computing, Engineering & Built Environment (CEBE), or Health, Education and Life Sciences (HELS).

To qualify for this award you should have achieved a minimum of the following overall % in your 12th standard:

  • BLSS, ADM, HELS: 75%
  • CEBE: 80%

In order to participate, you will need to complete in the brief form below and write a supporting statement.

Postgraduate:

1 student, from any faculty, will be awarded full tuition fees for any postgraduate course up to £12,000. To qualify for this award you should have achieved a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum overall % of:

  • 5 Star Universities: 65%
  • All other universities/institutions: 75%

Application Deadlines to study at Birmingham City University UK

Deadline for Undergraduate Courses after 12th

The normal closing date to receive applications for full-time undergraduate courses is 15th January for September intake. If possible, try to ensure that your application reaches the university by this date. The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) send all applications it receives after 15 January (until 30 June). But Birmingham City University UK can’t guarantee they will give the same level of consideration or offer as those that arrive by 15 January.
