Entry Requirements to Study at Lancaster University UK

General entry requirements (exact requirements may vary from course to course)

Postgraduate Courses: At least 60% in Bachelors Degree from a recognized institution(on a scale of 10). IELTS: 6.5 or 7.0 Overall with minimum scores depending on the courses (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)

Undergraduate Courses (after 12th): Completion of All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) or Indian School Certificate (CISCE) or Higher Secondary Certificate (State Board) with an average of 75-87%. IELTS: 6.5 with no less than 5.5 in each section (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score).

MBA/Executive MBA program: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years’ professional work experience since graduation for MBA (which does not include summer placements, part-time or temporary work experience). IELTS : Overall score of at least 7.0, with no individual element below 6.0 (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score) for MBA. For Executive MBA – An upper second class honours degree, or an equivalent professional qualification. At least five years full-time professional/managerial work experience. IELTS: 6.5 or equivalent (minimum element scores apply).

Scholarships for Indian/International students:

For Undergraduate Students:

  • £2,000 Lancaster Scholarship for applicants who achieve A*A*A at A level and have at least 5 GCSE’s grade A/7 or above. This is awarded in the first year of study only.
  • £1,000 Lancaster Scholarship for applicants who achieve AAA at A level and have at least 5 GCSE’s grade A/7 or above. This is awarded in each year of study, subject to progression.

Alumni Loyalty Scholarship

Lancaster University will offer a reduction in tuition fees for all taught Master’s programmes for eligible applicants, determined by the level of undergraduate or postgraduate award achieved. The value of the scholarship is as follows:

  • 20% fee reduction for 1st Class Hons degree holders

Deadline for Undergraduate Courses after 12th

The normal closing date to receive applications for full-time undergraduate courses is 15th January for September intake. If possible, try to ensure that your application reaches the university by this date. The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) send all applications it receives after 15 January (until 30 June). But Lancaster University UK can’t guarantee they will give the same level of consideration or offer as those that arrive by 15 January.
