- University of the West of Scotland UK is at 92nd in the Times University Guide 2019
- The university is at 106th in the Guardian University Guide 2020
- The university’s highest ever ranking for UK Institutions came in 2009 when the Complete Universities Guide placed UWS 62 out of 113 universities.

Entry Requirements to Study at University of the West of Scotland UK:
Postgraduate Courses:
- Bachelors Degree from a recognized institution.
- IELTS: 6 with no less than 5.5 in each section (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)
Undergraduate Courses (after 12th):
- Completion of All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) or Indian School Certificate (CISCE) or Higher Secondary Certificate (State Board).
- IELTS: 6 with no less than 5.5 in each section (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)
MBA/Executive MBA program:
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience after graduation (which does not include summer placements, part-time or temporary work experience).
- IELTS: 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in each section (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score)
University of the West of Scotland UK Scholarships:
University of the West of Scotland UK offers a range of scholarships for Indian students. We encourage students to apply for the relevant scholarships as early as possible. Scholarships for Indian/International students:
UWS Global Scholarships – September 2019 Entry:
Scholarship amount – £1,500. Eligibility – The UWS Global Scholarship is open to unconditional offer holders, who are self-funding, full-time, full fee-paying, non-EU students on degree programmes at our four Scottish Campuses.
Progression Scholarship:
Current UWS Students. This scholarship is available to self-funded (non-EU) students at UWS who have maintained a good attendance of 85% minimum and overall score of 69% or higher across modules in their first year of study. Scholarship is £1,000.
UWS Sport Scholarships:
The Sport Scholarship programme at UWS aims to support those with the potential to be at the top of their sport. Criteria eligibility includes international, national and regional standard athletes with additional funding available for those performing at regional level with aspirations to national and international standards. UWS Sport Scholarships will provide financial scholarships as well as support for student athletes to access the University’s sports facilities, educational workshops, and sports science/medicine support.
Winning Students Scholarship:
This scholarship is designed to support talented student athletes as they develop their sporting abilities and continue their academic studies and foster success in international competitions. The scholarships can be used for a range of support services which will assist you and your sporting development. The scholarships are funded by the Scottish Funding Council and managed by the University of Stirling.
Application Deadlines to study at University of the West of Scotland UK:
Deadline for Undergraduate Courses after 12th:
The normal closing date to receive applications for full-time undergraduate courses is 15th January for September intake. If possible, try to ensure that your application reaches the university by this date. The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) send all applications it receives after 15 January (until 30 June). But University of the West of Scotland UK can’t guarantee they will give the same level of consideration or offer as those that arrive by 15 January.
